Your text stays with you
Everything you type stays on your phone.Everything you type stays on your tablet.Everything you type stays on your computer. Here’s how that works, and how to check it yourself.
The styles are made on your device
When you type, your browser swaps your letters for styled ones right there on your device. Your text isn’t sent to us or to anyone else. The page downloads the styles once, then does everything locally.
Check it in five seconds: airplane mode
Open the site, then turn on airplane mode. Type something and copy a style. It still works, because nothing needs to be sent anywhere.
Check it like a developer: the browser lock
Every page carries a strict Content Security Policy that includes connect-src 'none'. That tells your browser to block the page from sending data to any server, including ours. It isn’t a promise from us; your browser enforces it. You can see it in the page source.
There are no third-party scripts, no ads, no trackers and no webfonts on this site. Every script comes from our own domain with an integrity check.
What stays on your device
So the site can pick up where you left off, it keeps a few things in your browser’s own storage on this device: the text you last typed, the styles you copied recently, your favourites, the last filter you picked, and dark mode if you turned it on. None of it is sent to us. Clearing your browser’s data for this site removes it.
Your clipboard
The site writes to your clipboard only when you tap a style. It reads your clipboard only when you tap Paste, and your browser may ask you first.
What we do record
Like any website, our hosting provider’s servers log basic requests: which page was asked for, when, and the browser type. We use these logs to count visits. We don’t use analytics scripts or tracking pixels. Your text is never in those logs, because it never leaves your device.
We set one cookie, and only if you pick a language from the language menu. It is called lang and holds the language you picked, so the homepage opens in that language next time. It isn’t used for anything else and expires after a year. Because it only remembers a choice you made, there is no cookie banner.
